MATERIAL & PROCESS

Match the Foil to the Container Opening

Choose the sealing method around the liner, rim and production sequence.

Container foil sealing includes both induction heating and direct-heat lidding. Equipment may seal a capped bottle, apply film to an open container, or combine filling and closure in one line. The correct route depends on the container material, foil structure and required working pattern.

ENGINEERING START POINTLiner insertion, foil bonding and cap tightening are separate process steps.

Confirm which steps the selected machine performs. The foil's heat-seal layer, rim condition and applied pressure must suit the container and process.

EQUIPMENT PATHS

Choose by Foil Sealing Method

Three routes for standalone equipment and integrated packaging.

01 · INDUCTION

Capped Bottle & Jar Sealing

Use electromagnetic heating with a compatible foil liner and sealing head. Handheld, desktop and continuous systems suit different package sizes and working patterns.

02 · DIRECT HEAT

Foil & Film Lidding

Apply controlled heat and pressure to container openings. Choose suitable molds and roll film or pre-cut lids for bottles, cups, coffee capsules, spoon packs or tube orifices.

03 · INTEGRATED PACKAGING

Filling, Foil Sealing & Capping

Combine dosing, foil sealing and cap application in a configured workflow. Confirm the operation sequence and any connected labeling or handling equipment.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Aluminum Foil Sealing FAQs

Liner compatibility, cap requirements, tooling and process selection.

Does an induction sealer insert foil liners into caps?

No. A conventional induction sealer heats a liner already positioned against the container rim. Liner insertion is a separate upstream operation unless explicitly included in an integrated system.

Must the cap be fitted before induction sealing?

Conventional capped-container induction systems require the cap and liner to be correctly fitted and tightened. Capless applications need equipment specifically designed for that arrangement; do not assume a standard induction machine supports them.

How does direct-heat sealing differ from induction sealing?

Direct-heat equipment uses a heated head and pressure to bond compatible lidding to the rim. Induction equipment heats the foil electromagnetically. The container, film and intended process determine which system is suitable.

Can the same foil liner seal PET, PE, PP and glass?

Not automatically. The heat-seal layer must match the container surface and process. Confirm the liner supplier's specification and test container, cap and foil samples together.

Can one sealer handle different container openings?

Only within its supported range and with compatible sealing heads, molds and settings. Flat, tapered and unusual openings may need dedicated tooling or a different head configuration.

Is tube-orifice foil sealing the same as tube-tail sealing?

No. Orifice sealing covers the dispensing opening with foil or film. Tail sealing closes the open filling end of the tube. These are different packaging operations.

What should I provide before choosing equipment?

Send containers, caps and foil or film samples, dimensions and target output. Include the required filling and capping sequence, film feed format, available space and utilities.
