- Roll-On Capping (ROPP Capping): Specially designed for aluminum tamper-evident caps. The machine forms threads and crimps the cap simultaneously, creating a tamper-proof seal. Widely used in wine, spirits, and some pharmaceutical packaging.
- Crimping: Used to secure metal caps (e.g., perfume bottle spray heads or certain pharmaceutical aluminum seals) by pressing them permanently onto the container neck.
- Pump Head / Spray Nozzle Installation: For closures with long dip tubes, such as pumps or spray heads, the machine precisely positions and either screws or presses them into place.
2.2 Common Types of Capping Machines
- Manual Capping Machine: The operator manually places both the cap and the container. The machine assists in tightening or pressing. Suitable for small-batch production or laboratory use.
- Semi-Automatic Capping Machine: The operator manually places the cap, while the machine automatically performs the capping process. Offers higher throughput than manual models but lower than fully automatic.
- Fully Automatic Capping Machine: From cap sorting, conveying, and positioning to tightening or pressing, the entire process requires no human intervention. Extremely efficient and ideal for large-scale industrial production lines.
