Plastic Cup Filling and Sealing Machine
A plastic cup filling and sealing machine combines container handling, product dosing and lid or film sealing. The system must be designed around the actual cup, product and closure because each affects indexing, fill control and seal quality.
Typical cup-filling process
- Cups are loaded manually or released from a cup feeder.
- Each cup moves into the filling station.
- Product is dosed using a method suitable for its flow behavior.
- Film or a premade lid is positioned over the cup.
- Heat and pressure create the seal.
- The finished cup is discharged for coding or secondary packaging.
Product factors to define
- Liquid, paste, powder or particle content.
- Filling temperature and foaming behavior.
- Minimum and maximum fill weight or volume.
- Required sanitation and cleaning procedure.
- Whether multiple products or layers are filled.
Cup and sealing-material requirements
Provide cup drawings and physical samples, including rim diameter, height, taper and flange design. For roll film, confirm material structure, width and printed registration mark. For premade lids, provide dimensions, stack behavior and sealing surface.

Seal quality depends on the complete process
Temperature alone does not determine a reliable seal. Heating time, pressure, film compatibility, cup-rim cleanliness and product contamination around the flange must all be controlled. Filled samples should be tested for appearance, peel behavior and leakage according to the intended product requirements.
Select the automation level
Semi-automatic systems can suit frequent changes and manual loading.
Rotary or inline automatic systems can combine cup feeding, filling and sealing.
Review mold and format-part change requirements.
Plan coding, inspection, cup collection and case packing.
Compare cup filling and sealing machines and cup and tray sealing equipment.
Send ZONESUN the product, cup and sealing-film samples for a filling and sealing evaluation.
