Is hot stamping foil the same as aluminum foil for sealing?
No. This collection contains decorative transfer foil for lettering and designs. It is not bottle-sealing foil, a foil liner or ordinary household aluminum foil.
Can the same foil be used in a die press and a digital foil printer?
Do not assume so. The transfer process and foil specifications must match the equipment. The 8025/3025/8025D foil listing is a separate model-specific option; confirm compatibility before substituting general stamping foil.
How do I choose the roll width?
Allow enough foil width to cover the design while checking the holder, feed path and machine clearance. Select the width from the product's available options, and confirm it if the description and variant differ.
Will one roll work on paper, leather and plastic?
Compatibility depends on the foil grade and the material's surface or coating. A result on one substrate does not establish suitability for another. Textured or coated materials should be checked with a representative sample.
What temperature and pressing time should I use?
Use the selected product and machine instructions as the starting point. Some die-stamping listings give reference settings, but these are not universal values for all foils, substrates or digital printers. Test and adjust for the application.
Does foil stamping create a raised or recessed design?
Foil transfers a decorative layer. Any raised or recessed impression depends on separate tooling, pressure and the material; it is not guaranteed by the foil itself.
Are all rolls the same length?
No. The die-stamping listings describe 120 m rolls, while the dedicated 8025/3025/8025D listing specifies 100 m. Confirm the selected product's dimensions before ordering.
How should unused foil be stored?
Keep rolls in a cool, ventilated place, protected from moisture, sunlight, heat and crushing, following the selected product's storage instructions.
