Should I choose handheld or inline inkjet coding?
Handheld units suit compatible products that an operator can access and mark individually. Inline systems work with controlled product movement and triggering. Choose around batch size, positioning and the required production workflow.
Can one printer mark every plastic, metal, glass and paper surface?
No. The ink, substrate, coating, print distance and drying conditions affect adhesion and readability. Test the actual packaging material and confirm the appropriate ink formulation.
What determines the available print height?
Print height depends on the model, cartridge or nozzle and selected print-head configuration. Multi-head systems do not provide the maximum advertised height in every option. Confirm the configuration for your artwork.
Does a 50.8 mm handheld printer always produce a seamless image?
The HIP508 uses two 25.4 mm cartridges. Its listing notes that uneven hand movement or changes in angle can cause a gap or overlap at the join. Keep movement straight and consistent and assess the result with your artwork.
Can I print different dates, batch numbers and codes?
Supported content and editing functions vary by model. Confirm date handling, counters, barcode format, character size and data input requirements before selecting the printer.
Is UV inkjet printing the same as UV laser marking?
No. The UV inkjet system in this collection uses UV ink and curing. Laser marking is a different process and is available through the related laser category.
Are conveyors, sensors and cartridges included?
Check the selected option. Some listings include complete systems alongside accessory-only options. For IIP600, Only Stand & Sensor and Only Conveyor are accessory selections. Confirm the full contents of the machine package before ordering.
Does a choice of ink colors mean full-color printing?
Not necessarily. Color options can refer to alternative cartridges or inks for a single-color setup. Confirm whether your required colors can be printed together and whether the artwork is supported.
Can coding be combined with feeding, rotation or sealing?
This collection includes paging systems for compatible flat items, a rotating system for suitable cylindrical products and a bag sealer with integrated inkjet printing. Match product dimensions and the complete handling cycle to the application.
